2020 has been a challenging year for everyone, non-more-so than young people who have been unable to meet with friends and family and have had their studies disrupted for long periods throughout the year – they have had their lives turned upside down.
The situation has been even worse for children and young people who were already struggling with mental health issues such as depression, low mood and anxiety – just like many of the people supported by Service Six in Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
During 2020 Service Six have been unable to carry out many of the community fundraising activities that we would normally organise throughout the year due to the restrictions that have been put in place thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. That is why we would like to ask businesses throughout the East Midlands to consider helping Service Six and supporting our work this Christmas.
Instead of sending out Christmas cards we are asking businesses to make a donation to the work of Service Six. Your company can donate £10, £25, £50 or £100. In return Service Six will feature your business logo on our website, you will receive a letter of thanks and a certificate from our CEO, you will gain exposure through our social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook and twitter, but best of all you will get to make a real difference to the lives of some of the most vulnerable and deprived young people in our local community.
The money raised will help us provide individual and group therapy sessions, buy arts and craft materials for our youth groups or support the work we deliver through initiatives such as The Opal Project which supports children and young people who self-harm.
Some of the money raised will also be used to purchase gifts and Christmas essentials for our more vulnerable young people and their families.
If you would like to donate to the Service Six 2020 Christmas Appeal, please contact our Community Fundraiser Billie Calland by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
